About the browser demo

A free, ad-free taste of the puzzle — playable in any modern browser.

This page is a playable demo of Leaves of Blocks, an ad-free, privacy-first block puzzle game in the spirit of Block Blast. Drag one of three offered shapes onto the 10×10 grid, fill any row or column to clear it, and combo multiple lines for bonus points. There is no sign-up, no install, no tracking, and absolutely no ads — your browser does not send anything to a server. Your best score is saved locally on your device.

The full iOS app takes the same core puzzle further: three difficulty modes (Easy, Normal, Hard) that change how often punishing pieces appear, a complete history of every game you have played, Apple Game Center leaderboards and achievements, daily challenges, and a hand-illustrated folk-art aesthetic across every screen. The app is free, weighs less than a megabyte, and runs offline on iPhone and iPad.

If you found this page searching for a Block Blast online alternative, a free browser block puzzle, or simply a quiet way to kill ten minutes, you are in the right place. Play as long as you like below, then grab the iOS version when you want the deeper experience.

Tips for a higher score

  • Plan two pieces ahead. The tray refills only after all three offered shapes have been placed, so think about whether the second and third piece can still fit somewhere reasonable before you commit the first.
  • Hold the corners. Keeping the corners and edges open gives long straight pieces (1×4, 1×5) a place to land. Crowding the middle of the board first usually leaves no home for the bigger shapes.
  • Combo on purpose. Clearing two lines at once awards bonus points beyond clearing them separately, so it is often worth holding a shape for one extra turn to set up a multi-line clear.
  • Use the 3×3 square as relief. It is the largest single piece and the most punishing if you cannot fit it. When one appears, plant it early in an open quadrant before the board tightens up.

Frequently asked

Is this really free?
Yes. The browser demo is free, the iOS app is free, and neither shows ads or asks for an account. There is no premium tier and no in-app purchase.
Does this work on a phone or tablet browser?
It does. Touch dragging is supported, and the layout adapts to small screens. For the smoothest experience, though, the native iOS app is hard to beat.
Is anything tracked or sent to a server?
No game state leaves your browser. The marketing site uses privacy-friendly Google Analytics for aggregate page views, but the game itself runs entirely client-side. Your best score is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device.
