This Privacy Policy describes how Leaves of Blocks ("we," "our," or "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application and when you visit this website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

The app collects absolutely no user data. This website uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous page-view statistics so we can understand how people discover the game.

Leaves of Blocks is designed with privacy in mind. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you. Specifically, we do not collect:

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

Game Data

  • High Scores: Your personal best scores are stored using iOS UserDefaults
  • Game History: Records of your past games including score, difficulty level, blocks placed, lines cleared, and game duration are stored using Core Data
  • Game Settings: Your preferred difficulty settings and other app preferences

This data:

  • Remains entirely on your device
  • Is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties
  • Is automatically deleted if you delete the app
  • Can be reset through the app's settings

Data Sharing

The app does NOT:

  • Share any data with third parties
  • Sell any information
  • Use any analytics services
  • Include advertising networks
  • Integrate with social media platforms for data collection

Data Security

Since all data remains on your device:

  • Your game data is protected by your device's built-in security features
  • We cannot access your data remotely
  • Your information cannot be compromised through our servers (because we don't have any)

Children's Privacy

Leaves of Blocks is suitable for all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information, we comply with children's privacy regulations including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and notify users through an app update. Since our app doesn't collect data, any changes would likely be to clarify our privacy practices rather than change them.

Third-Party Services

The Leaves of Blocks app does not integrate with any third-party services and functions entirely offline.

Website Analytics

This website (leavesofblocks.com) uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous page-view statistics. This is the sole exception to our data-minimization approach, and we use it only to understand how players discover the game so we can improve it.

Google Analytics may collect:

  • General geographic region (country/city level)
  • Device type and browser
  • Referring website

This data is aggregated and anonymous — it cannot be used to identify you personally. Google Analytics is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Website analytics do not affect the app in any way.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, traditional data rights (like data deletion requests) don't apply. However, you can:

  • Delete all locally stored game data through the app's settings
  • Completely remove all app data by deleting the app from your device
